Family and Saudi upbringing

Rajwa Al Saif was born in Riyadh on 28 April 1994, the youngest of four children of Khalid Al Saif and Azza Al Sudairi. Her upbringing and secondary education took place in Saudi Arabia. This background is distinct from her later membership of Jordan’s Hashemite family, which arose through marriage rather than birth into the reigning dynasty.

Architecture and visual communication

She studied architecture at Syracuse University in New York and obtained a visual-communication qualification from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. These are separate educational stages. The biography records the training without inventing a government architectural appointment or assuming that every design interest amounts to a continuing professional practice during royal life.

Engagement and marriage

Her engagement to Hussein was announced in August 2022. They married at Zahran Palace in Amman on 1 June 2023. She became Princess Rajwa Al Hussein, joining the royal family as the wife of the crown prince. The marriage did not make her queen, since Abdullah II remains sovereign and Rania is queen consort.

Family and the next generation

Their daughter Princess Iman was born on 3 August 2024. She should be distinguished from Hussein’s sister, also named Iman. Clear relationship labels matter in a royal directory because names recur across generations. The profile records the established public family relationship without speculating about a child’s future career or an unsupported succession appointment.

Public engagements

Rajwa has accompanied Hussein on visits in Jordan and abroad. The official public record includes representative appearances rather than a separate ministerial portfolio. Such duties can expand over time, but a developing programme should not be padded with invented charitable presidencies or executive responsibilities merely to make a young royal’s biography appear longer.

Connections within the Hashemite family

Her entry links conceptually with those of Hussein, Abdullah and Rania, distinguishing the heir’s spouse from the current sovereign and consort. It brings Saudi upbringing, international education and Jordanian public life into one chronology. Future additions can follow dated official records while the existing account remains clear about which roles she actually holds today.
